12 German championship titles, 2 European championship titles, 1 overall victory at the Six Days on the Isle of Man, and 12 Six Days gold medals: an impressive list of motorsport achievements, marking only the pinnacle of his long and successful career.
Heino Büse is a true motorsport icon. “I started riding motorcycles as a teenager, but from the very beginning, I preferred off-road riding over street riding – on a Kreidler with a three-speed hand shift. My friends encouraged me to pursue off-road sports. Back then, the term ‘enduro’ didn’t even exist.”
This is how young Heino Büse entered the world of off-road racing. However, there was little money to be made from it, so he needed a profession. He decided on a career as a professional soldier in the German Army, though not as a motorcycle courier, even though that might have seemed logical.
He could only pursue his passion in his free time. As a senior sergeant, he trained young officers while remaining dedicated to motorsports.
In 1982, Heino Büse ended his active racing career and, alongside his work in the army, began building his own motorcycle accessories business. This laid the foundation for Heino Büse MX Import GmbH and the BÜSE® brand.
His unwavering passion, expertise, and understanding of motorcyclists' needs quickly made his company a key player in the industry.
Today, BÜSE stands for high-quality motorcycle apparel and accessories, specially designed to meet the demands of both enduro and road riders. But this success is not just the work of Heino Büse alone. A dedicated team of experts, designers, and motorcycle enthusiasts plays a crucial role in the brand’s development and growth.
The employees share his passion for motorsport and contribute their expertise to product development. Together, they select the best materials, create innovative designs, and integrate new technologies into motorcycle clothing and accessories.
Heino Büse and his team’s innovative strength is particularly evident in the development of new motorcycle products. They rely on cutting-edge materials, ergonomic designs, and real-world testing under extreme conditions. Their years of motorsport experience and extensive network are valuable assets. Renowned riders use their products, test them in extreme conditions, and provide valuable feedback. This results in motorcycle jackets, pants, gloves, and protectors that stand out for their safety, comfort, and durability.
In the 1990s, Heino Büse MX Import GmbH continued to expand. The company extended its distribution network and gained important international partners. BÜSE products were no longer just available in Germany but throughout Europe and beyond. Through strategic partnerships with major retailers and importers, the brand established itself as one of the market leaders in the motorcycle apparel industry.
Even after officially retiring from racing, Heino Büse remained closely connected to motorsport. He is involved in supporting young talent, mentoring the next generation, and passing on his knowledge. His story is not just one of a successful enduro rider but also of a visionary entrepreneur who, together with a strong team, transformed his passion into a brand that still stands today for quality, innovation, and highly functional motorcycle gear.
